Land of glass making
Legitimately labelled the valley of glass, the Bresle Valley is still the world leader in the production of perfume bottles. The museums which trace the history of this exceptional artistic tradition attract visitors fascinated by the combination of air and fire: luxury bottling or glass work, numerous skills ensure international appeal for this jealously guarded specialism.
Museum and glass artists
The history of glass in the Bresle Valley and its manufacture are explained at the Museum of Glass Making Traditions. A glass blower and an artisan manufacturer of glass beads will share their expertise with you.
Museum of Glass Making Traditions
It traces the history of glass from its origins in Egypt to its mechanisation: demonstration of machines, explanatory video film, room dedicated to perfume and its bottles, collection of giant artificial bottles, specific events (glass blower, spinning glass ...).
